The Cancer Awareness Foundation’s transformative 2024 calendar included the Young Leader Development Program in five medical colleges and the 2nd National Cancer Volunteer Summit, which brought together 150+ volunteers from 25+ institutions. The flagship Cancer Leader Development Program gained global recognition with 36 medical students from six colleges presenting their research at The Global Health Catalyst Summit 2024. Campus ambassador-led seminars engaged 600+ medical students in four colleges. Women’s health initiatives included a seminar at the National College of Home Economics (attended by 70 students), SOS Shishu Polli campaign, Akij College program, and Platinum Hospital occupational health screening. Virtual engagement also gained momentum with stress management webinars, the 6th breast and cervical cancer prevention workshop, cancer nutrition, and virtual seminars in two medical colleges. The year concluded with the announcement of the World Cancer Day Run 2025, reflecting the maturity of the organization as a nationally connected entity that reaches a wider audience through various engagement platforms.
