On March 11, 2022, “World Cancer Day Seminar, Health Fair & Cultural Fest 2022” was organized at Ibrahim Auditorium of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences and its premises where there were 150 participants in the seminar and over 500 participants took part in the health fair. The event was presided over by the Cancer Awareness Foundation of Bangladesh’s chief advisor, the country’s eminent cancer doctor, Professor Dr. M. A. Hai Basic agenda of the event -“Close The Care Gap: Realizing The Problem” was discussed on a seminar specially revealing how to understand and recognize the inequities in cancer care and treatment. Another segment of the program was designed to set out a drawing competition and an interesting cultural festival with the participation of children and youth. Additionally a health fair was arranged at Bangladesh University of Health Science premises. The event indeed proved to be a milestone reached by the foundation where people acquainted themselves with various aspects of cancer prevention through day long informative seminars to combat cancer.
