  • Intern doctors
  • You may submit more than one abstract. Use a separate form for each one.
  • Each abstract has one presenting author. Co-authors are welcome.

Categories and Structure

Choose one category for each abstract. Use the headings shown for your category inside the abstract.

1

Original Research

Research you did yourself, with your own data. Completed or ongoing studies are both welcome.

  • Background: why this topic matters, in 1 to 2 sentences
  • Objective: what you wanted to find out
  • Methods: study design, place, time, participants, sample size, how data was collected and analysed
  • Results: your main findings, with numbers (for example, percentages or p-values)
  • Conclusion: what the results mean, and one line on what should be done
2

Review Article

A summary of studies that others have already published on a topic.

  • Background: why this review was needed
  • Methods: which databases you searched (for example, PubMed or Google Scholar), keywords, years, and how many studies you included
  • Key findings: the main points from the studies
  • Conclusion: what the evidence shows, and the gaps that remain
3

Case Report

An interesting or unusual oncology case that teaches something useful.

  • Introduction: why this case is worth sharing
  • Case presentation: age and sex, complaints, findings, investigations, diagnosis, treatment and outcome
  • Discussion: what makes the case special, compared with what is known
  • Conclusion: the main lesson for doctors or the health system
4

Research Title Pitch

For students with a new research idea who have not started the study yet. Selected pitches get feedback from an expert panel.

  • Problem: the cancer problem you want to study in Bangladesh
  • Research question: the exact question you want to answer
  • Proposed method: how you plan to do the study
  • Expected impact: how the results could help patients, the public or policy

Writing Rules

  1. Keep it within 300 words. The form will not accept a longer abstract.
  2. Write a clear, short title that says what the study is about. Avoid abbreviations in the title.
  3. Do not write author or institution names inside the abstract. Reviewers read abstracts without names, so judging is fair. Put names only in the form fields.
  4. No tables, figures, images or references in the abstract.
  5. Write the full form of an abbreviation the first time you use it, for example “Human Papillomavirus (HPV)”.
  6. Use simple, correct English. Check spelling and grammar before you submit.
  7. Check your numbers. Results must match your data, and percentages should add up.
  8. Paste plain text. Copy from Word or Google Docs; headings like “Methods:” can be typed at the start of each part.

Ethics

  • The work must be your own. Copied or plagiarised abstracts will be rejected.
  • For research with people, you should have ethics approval or permission from your institution where it is needed.
  • For case reports, take the patient’s consent. Never include the patient’s name, photo, hospital number or any detail that can identify them.
  • All co-authors must agree before you submit.
  • Work presented elsewhere before can still be submitted; mention it if you are selected.

How to Submit

  1. Register for NYCC 2027 on our registration page.
  2. Write your abstract in Word or Google Docs and check the word count.
  3. Scroll down to the Submit Your Abstract form on this page.
  4. Fill in your name, institution, designation, academic year, email, mobile number and co-authors.
  5. Choose the category, add the title, paste the abstract, and submit.
  6. You will see a thank-you message. Keep your email and phone active, because results will be sent there.
