Year in Review: 2023 Impact Summary

The Cancer Awareness Foundation’s flagship year was marked by a historic event, the 1st National Cancer Volunteer Summit with 150+ medical students and two living legends as chief guests. BMSS formal partnerships were established for medical college programs, and E-Club was partnered with for women’s cancer services. Project “Obolombon” was also initiated to help needy cancer patients. CAPS programs were conducted in schools with 550+ students in three schools. In higher education, Jahangirnagar University’s female health program, BRAC University’s midwifery students (100), and Kumudini Nursing College (340) were also covered. Medical education was ongoing at Bogura Medical College, and factory workers were also engaged through Cutting Edge. Virtual events also took place, including lung cancer awareness and female-only breast cancer prevention.
